How it works
What the lookup does with a number
For a phone number, the lookup takes the area code, the first three digits, and finds the time zone where that code was assigned. ZIP codes resolve to the time zone of that postal area, which is more precise, since a few area codes cross a time zone line. States return one time zone, or a note when the state is split.
Weather comes from the ZIP code itself when you give one, and from the area code's city or the state's largest city otherwise.

Is the lookup free?
Yes, with no sign-up. Time zones and local times have no limit. Live weather uses the same daily allowance as Parse: 250 lookups a day, or 1,000 when you’re signed in to a free Pea account.
What can I paste into the bulk lookup?
Phone numbers in any common format, 3-digit area codes, 5-digit or ZIP+4 codes, and two-letter state codes. Put one per line, or separate them with commas or tabs. Up to 100 entries run at once.
Why does a state show as split?
Thirteen states span more than one time zone, including Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee and Texas. For those, look up a ZIP code or area code to get an exact answer.
Does the lookup keep my numbers?
Only the area code, ZIP code or state is sent to look up the time zone, never the full phone number. Nothing you paste is saved.
