Terms of Service
Last Updated: April 13, 2026
Welcome to Parse. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Parse browser extension, website, and associated API services (collectively, the "Service") provided by pea.dev ("we," "us," or "our").
By installing the extension, generating a license key, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Parse.
1. The Service
Parse is a workflow utility designed to scan your active browser tabs (such as CRM interfaces) to identify geographic data and overlay local time and weather information.
- Local-First Processing: The core timezone detection happens locally in your browser.
- Third-Party Integrations: To provide dynamic features like weather data, the Service pings third-party APIs. We do not guarantee the 100% uptime or absolute accuracy of these third-party data sources.
2. Pro Subscriptions & License Keys
While basic features are free, advanced features require a "Pro" subscription.
- License Keys: Upon purchasing a Pro subscription, you will receive a unique 18-character license key. This key is personal to you.
- Device Limits: Your license key is locked to a specific number of devices (as outlined in your chosen pricing tier). Sharing, selling, or publicly distributing your license key is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of your key without a refund.
- Usage Limits: Pro tiers are subject to daily API request limits to prevent abuse. If you hit your limit, Pro features will pause until the daily midnight UTC reset.
- Billing: Payments are handled securely via Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled. You can cancel your subscription at any time; however, we do not offer prorated refunds for mid-cycle cancellations. Your key will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
3. Acceptable Use
We want you to close more deals, but you have to play by the rules. You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the extension or our API workers.
- Ping the Parse API outside of the official Chrome extension interface.
- Use the Service to facilitate illegal activities, harassment, or spam.
- Attempt to bypass device limits, rate limits, or security mechanisms.
4. Data & Privacy
We are obsessed with keeping your leads safe. Parse is built to execute locally whenever possible. We do not store, harvest, or sell your CRM lead data.
- When you use Pro features, the extension sends an anonymized ping (containing a ZIP code or state) to our servers to fetch weather data.
- We collect basic, anonymized telemetry (via Google Analytics 4) strictly to monitor extension performance and API usage.
- For full details on how we handle your email and payment data, please review our Privacy Policy.
5. "As Is" Disclaimer
We build Parse to be as accurate as possible, but timezones are messy, and the weather changes fast.
- No Warranties: The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
- Your Responsibility: We are not responsible if you accidentally call a prospect at 3:00 AM because of a data discrepancy or a bug in the software. You are solely responsible for how you use the data Parse provides.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, pea.dev shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Florida.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our product or the law. If we make material changes, we will notify you (e.g., via the email address tied to your Stripe account or through an extension update). Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
